Tuesday Althing: Johnny Drama
If you’ve never watched HBO’s hilarious Entourage series, I encourage you to check it out. Contrary to popular belief, the second best thing about the show is Jeremy Piven, whose Ari Gold character is akin to a Jewish Archie Bunker.
So what’s the first best thing? Kevin Dillon’s interpretation of the George Costanza archetype . . .
Which of course brings us to: what the heck does any of this have to do with Storm of the North blog?!
See, in an art-imitates-life-imitates-art (or something) bit of writing, on Entourage Kevin Dillon plays the lovable loser, Johnny “Drama” Chase, whose fictional 15 minutes of fame came with his role as Tarvold the Viking on the TV program Viking Quest.
Indeed, I think I might be related to Kevin Dillon. In the following video, note in his goatee the apparent inability to grow downbars, which is an obviously rare recessive gene that I also possess. [Feel free to check the pic at my bio if you don’t believe me.] Or maybe I’m actually misidentifying with the character of Johnny Drama, who seems to think his biceps are bigger than they really are, all the while believing his legs aren’t so much skinny as defined.
At least I don’t own a ridiculous horned helmet! (As far as you know.)
But enough about me. Here’s Johnny:
Thanks for stopping by. See ya Thor’s Day!
